This site will no longer be updated. I decided to spend a little money for web hosting instead of using the free space provided by Mediacom. It's a brief tutorial on how to use PHP's include() function to set up HTML pages. You can view the tutorial here I've got another small update to the forums today. I don't have any other news since this is the first time ever the site has been updated two days in a row. If your wondering why I've updated two days in a row there is a good explanation. It's called I've been bored out of my mind. Anyway, Let's take a look at what got done today.
  • Various scripts where combined. I want to get the whole forum running from one script.
  • All forum styles where added into one CSS. This will allow for easy color changes across all pages.
I told you the update was small. There hasn't been much activity here lately. If you are reading this drop by the forum and post a message. I've been busy working on other projects, so I put the forums on the back burner until today. Below is a list of things updated.
  • Forum layout has changed significantly.
  • Unregistered users may now read the forums.
  • Forums page added. You will no longer be taken directly to the general discussion forum.
I'm done with this semester of school, so I spent some time working on the forums today. Let's take a look at what I got done.
  • Titles were added based on post count.
  • You can now edit your posts.
  • Administrators can grant moderator status.
  • Moderators can edit anyone's posts
Look for these features soon:
  • Ability to delete posts.
  • Page to show registered users of the forums.
  • Private messages
  • More Moderator Abilities such as, moving and deleting posts.
  • Forums Page instead of going straight to General
  • Administration Page for easy setup
Hopefully updates will be coming more frequently since I'm not taking classes this summer. If you have any ideas of something that should be added. I've been spending all my computer time working on a school programming project and playing Stars Wars Galaxies Beta. Enough about me, here is the new forum update:

Forums Updated
I spent some time today working on the forums. I managed to get the following features implemented.

  • Ability to Reply to Messages
  • Message Timestamps
  • Reply Counter

Once again, it's been over month since I've updated the site. Mainly due to the fact that I couldn't think of anything to put on here. About a week ago, I decided I wanted to look into how to build a message board from scratch. I did a little research and determined it would be best to build the board using PHP and a Microsoft Access database. Anyway, I've added a Forums link to the navigation bar. Keep in mind the forums are not complete yet. Currently there is limited functionality.

Current Functionality:

  • Secure Logins.
  • The script that pulls replies from the database works.
  • Ability to read posts.
  • Ability to post a new topic.

After a month of not touching this site, I decided it was time for an update. I completely redesigned the appearance of the site. Personally, I think it is a huge improvement over the old layout. Added a new link to the web design section of the site. This is an auction site for Alfons Bach. He's selling a pair of Tibetan foo dogs. The main purpose of the site is to allow people interested in the statues to view pictures of them. You can access the site under the web design section or click this link.

My friend Jason decided he wanted to build a homepage so I helped him out. He did all the artwork. I just helped him with the HTML code. If you can figure out what his logo says be sure to send him an e-mail.
